I must confess, I love photographs where the chauffeur figures prominently and this is a favorite. We are so fortunate the photographer captured this special moment and the image has survived. The car is a Packard, 1st series twin six (1916) phaeton.
Gravity Racing
These two press photos from the Detroit News show Donald Wake in his Soap Box Derby car. He was identified as a champion of some form but we do not know if it was in Detriot, or the big race in Akron, Ohio. Dated Aug 21, 1957.
