A Model A Ford Helping Tobacco Buyers In Greenville, North Carolina

greenv

The tobacco buyers in Greenville, North Carolina apparently worked hard to get growers in their region to come and sell their crop in the city that was known as a market center of it for over one hundred years. The driver is believed to be Kinchen Wiley Cobb the supervisor of the Greenville Tobacco Board of Trade from around 1923 until just before World War II.

For extra impact in what appears to have been a promotional press photo, a set of lettered tire covers were added to the 1930 Model A Ford Tudor Sedan. The photo is courtesy of East Carolina University.
