Grand Early Motoring…..Packard Style

This appears to be a 1902 Packard Model F with possibly, a removable rear entrance tonneau, which like many cars 1905 and earlier cars featured a rear seat accessed by a door in the middle of the back of the body. It was powered a one cylinder 12 hp engine and had a two- speed planetary transmission which drove thru a single chain. 1902 was the first year that Packard also offered a two-cylinder which was called the model G.

A few things of interest to note are the tube and fin horizontal radiator, the side mounted starting crank and the fine piano like finish that you can see the rear fender reflection in. Photo courtesy of the Seal Cove Auto Museum.
