In 1904, Pierre Desgoutte began manufacturing automobiles under the name Desgouttes & Cie. in Lyons, France. Three models were built before 1906 when Cyrille Cottin, a wealthy industrialist joined him. Since the arrival of Cottin, the company enjoyed great success on the race track, specialising in hillclimb events. It was also famous for it’s production of luxury cars and produced tractors and vehicles for the French Army.
Pictured above is a 1925 ‘Sans Secousse’ model sporting a body by ‘Ottin’, a coachbuilder also based in Lyons.
