Website Comment System Upgrades

Editors Note: The technician who built and maintains our website updated some of the systems on Friday that The Old Motor operates on. It has changed the way the comment system works now. To leave a comment, type it in the box and then click on the post comment button, no further action is needed. It will then be entered and await moderation.

Comments have always been moderated early in the morning, during the daytime, before 8 p.m. and will continue to updated in the same manner. We regret any inconvenience this has or may cause you.

  1. So, it this keyboard linked to an Enigma machine for security or do you just type directly into a tape puncher (which is then read and input to the Net). Nice to hear about the update…

    • Mad Dog that’s funny. Thanks for the laugh. David, thanks for the update. Looks like everything’s working very nicely.

  2. Thanks for the update on posting comments. I had tried to do so twice for the piece you did on James Hoe and his Duesenberg special and must have messed up since nether appeared. Will send you a photo of another interesting car ( ’29 duPont) he owned along with a letter he sent me. Have not been able to pinpoint exactly which dP it was and where it got to.

  3. Thanks for the clarification about posting our comments; now it’s a small matter of “trusting” that our comment will not be lost in the ethers. Still, I appreciate hearing from the source that this change has been made. I look forward to receiving the weekly update from theoldmotor as much as I once looked forward to receiving “My Weekly Reader.” 🙂
