Ahh….I’m not sure what to make of this two wheeler. The actual photo can be found in the book titled Victorian and Edwardian Cycling and Motoring From Old Photographs and is dated as circa 1909. The engine is certainly a De Dion Bouton with a jet carburetor as is the rear brake that is normally mounted to the front on a DDB machine. Center hub steering on a flimsy looking frame that doesn’t have any form of springing. The first custom motorcycle? Decide for yourself.
