We posted the photo above, back in April which we believe is circa 1915. We recently bought the late 1940-early 1950s postcard below because of the interesting changes visible with time. The signs have all changed but the Hotel Leland is still on the right. In the earlier photo the hotel on the left appears to have changed from the Hotel Outlook to the Lasalle in the later photo.
If you spend the time to really study the scene, it appears that the street or ramp to the left has been changed and the roofed over area below the sign and clock below has been extended to the left. The Market which was first opened in 1907 , is still in operation to this day and you can read all about the changes it has gone through over time. You can also see what it looks like today.
