Our good friend Dan Strohl over at Hemmings Motor News has been posting photos from the Charles Cushman Collection. He was an amateur photographer who took may photos that show what the general automotive scene he viewed in his period was like. Read Dan’s post below and follow the links to some great color automotive scenes at the Indiana University Archives.
Vintage street scenes and parking lot scenes are all well and good, but for the ultimate car spotting exercise, we’re going to have to head to the junkyard, where Charles Cushman spotted this mound of junked cars in Evansville, Indiana, in October 1952. There’s plenty to see here, so tell us what catches your eye.
