An Attractive Lagonda in Brookline

Here we are back in Brookline Mass. again, at McNear’s dealership where this smart looking Lagonda is being driven out of the out of the establishment. Just behind him we see a bathtub Nash and then a Morris Minor. Note the Jaguar poster and the MG and Bentley banners on the wall inside.

Can any of our readers tell us about the Jaguar 131.83 mph achievement on the poster? The Alden Handy photo is dated 1951 and is courtesy of Joe Puleo.

  1. According to Wikipedia, XK120’s set the record at the Autodrome de Montlhéry, near Paris in 1951. The car averaged 131.83 on a hour long run.
