Dodger Stadium, Los Angeles and the Automobile, 1962

Dan Strohl of Hemmings found this very interesting photo, courtesy of the USC Digital Library’s online photo archive of Dodger Stadium, which was built in Chavez Ravine in LA and opened on April 10, 1962. USC Libraries description of the photo points out that the stadium is empty and the cars are streaming out of the parking lots after a game.

The photographer set his shot up with a time-lapse exposure, that created the interesting pattern in the middle with the streaming headlights. Other than a few exceptions, most of the cars appear to be relatively late model, with quite a few stations wagons seen in the mix.
