Blimps have always been of interest here because of the interesting power plants that were used on them. After a one and a half year search, we were finally able to buy a press photo that we have been searching for, that has proved to be elusive until now. The photo shows the Goodyear Puritan moored to the top of a Goodyear Zeppelin Corp 1929 Buick Bus, at the Washington D.C. Airport on November 23, 1930. The press release with the photo mentions the following “Mooring mast on top of a bus is the latest method used in the landing of a Baby Blimp in Washington D.C. The Junior dirigible parked here for the night without the least sign of trouble“.
