The Mercer Boys

This is one of my favorite photos that was taken in the Forestport, New York area. It shows what looks like two brothers posing with a very impressive trophy and their t-head Mercer roadster which appears to be a 1913 model.

There is a banner on the hood from possibly some form of a tour or contest. This car could also possibly have been raced, as the lights, fenders and running boards could have been removed in half an hour. Even with the heavier roadster body, this car could have been faster than many other cars of the time.
