Old School

Here are some early automotive schools and students. Where are the teachers?

  1. You know, Tim, sometimes it is difficult to tell the difference between teachers and students.
Perhaps the teacher is working alongside the students; some are not afraid to get their hands dirty. Great photos, Chris, “da professor”

  2. “Call at Mack’s Auto School, Schenectady, N. Y., or send for catalogue. Get into the game right. Attend a fully equipped school. Diplomas issued. Graduates given free use of employment bureau and repair shop ever after. Not a cheap course, but a first class course reasonable. Testimonials of graduates for inspection. Prepare for new law.”

Quote from “The Polytechnic” of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, N.Y.; February 15, 1910, Volume XXVI, No. 5; Page 80

It appears the school also had a branch in Salem, NY.
