The 2013 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance

 This is our first set of images taken by Steve Natale on the field at the 2013 Pebble Beach Concours d’ Elegance and we decided to start with the earliest cars and work our way forward. There is always an outstanding selection of early cars on display at the event and this year was no exception with the Simplex  being one of the featured marques that we will show a bit more of soon.

  • The Pope-Toledo dash, the Powels’ 1912 Simplex 50 h.p. Holbrook Toy Tonneau wearing a pair of fine Solarclipse magnifying lens headlamps.

  • The Simplex rear view mirror, The Phil Hill Family 1912 Packard Model 30 that took best in class, the Manns’ 1914 6-42 American Underslung Roadster.

  • The Peterson Museum 1913 Model 35 – J Mercer Raceabout, a stunning 1914 Rolls-Royce Tourer featuring Vanden Plas coachwork with a disappearing top  that went on be the runner-up for the Best of Show honors and a very rare sight, the engine bay in the Louwman Museum Prince Heinrich Benz racing car.
