The post below gives the description of the opening day at the New Atlanta Auto Speedway. The photo from the article which was in the November, 18 1909 The Automobile gives you a view of the unique sunken speedway. Louis Strang who set fastest time in his Fiat is shown above and on the right is Asa Candler Jr. builder of the track.
