The American Truck Historical Society National Truck Show

The American Truck Historical Society (ATHS) held its National Con-vention and Antique Truck Show this past weekend at the Eastern States Exposition Center, in West Springfield, MA.  From several reports received, it was well attended with a wide variety of trucking history on display and close to one thousand trucks attending.

Gene Herman took this interesting photo of a New England institution with its Mack trucks on display.  J.P. Noonan is based in West Bridgewater, MA., and their familiar green and red Mack’s have been a common sight on New England’s roads since 1959. The company was started when J. Peter Noonan Sr. opened a heating oil and ice delivery business with a single truck. Today the company has over four hundred employees and a large fleet.

The closest truck is a 1920s AB, the truck in the middle is a Model E from the 1940s and the truck in the background is B-61, which were built between 1953-1966.

The photos below are from last years convention and truck show, held in South Bend, IN. and are courtesy of ATHS.
