Gassing Up In Riverside Illinois

A Chicago Sun-Times press photo taken by a photographer named Dykinga, dated Nov. 2, 1965. Gasoline tank truck drivers had just gone on strike and these people had made a run on the Martin Pure Oil station to fill up. The station was located at 315 E. Burlington in Riverside, Ill. Economy Gas

F.L. Morrison’s Economy gas station is shown in an unknown location. It appears as though he sold Sinclair gasoline from his visible pumps along with Macmillan Ring-Free, Mobiloil and Pennzoil motor oils. All three of these oil companies are still in operation. The Old Motor photo.
