A McKeen Rail Car in Canada

A Northern Pacific McKeen rail car, which was built for small lines or areas with low traffic. The company was actually part of the Union Pacific Railroad. This car is seen in service during 1910. in Alberta, Canada. They where built between 1905-1917 by the McKeen Motor Company which used both gasoline and diesel and even a steam engine was tried.  Wiki has more photos including a better copy of this photo along with a good photo of an engine truck showing how the engine was mounted sideways. The Old Motor photo.
